About the program
A place designed just for them

At IKM's early learning centers in Ahwatukee and Chandler, our Pre-K program provides a structured yet flexible schedule to meet your child's individual needs. Throughout the day, your child will have ample opportunities to learn, practice, socialize, nap, and play in our beautiful outdoor playground (weather permitting). Our experienced, Montessori-certified Pre-K teachers help your child develop academic, social, and cognitive skills while building their self-confidence and independence. They introduce songs, stories, and lessons using hands-on learning materials at your child's pace, promoting social interactions and cultivating your child's emerging language skills.

What “MACTE-trained” means
Our guides hold a credential earned through a training program accredited by MACTE, the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education, so their preparation was measured against a published standard.
Accredited training
MACTE is the international standard-setting and accrediting body for Montessori educator preparation, recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education since 1995.
Trained for your child's age
Credentials are earned for a specific age range — Infant & Toddler, and Early Childhood — so the guide in each classroom trained for exactly the children in it.
A guide, not a lecturer
Much of that training is in observation: watching what each child is ready for, then introducing the material that meets the moment — rather than one lesson for the whole room.
